Designer islandais Sigurjón Pálsson has created a range of wooden birds with caractère. The simple silhouette and unadorned Shorebirds give them an expression unique. At the same time, grand care has been taken with small details such as variations in body thickness, neck length and the positioning of the legs and beak.

The plus grand of the three birds is inspired by the curlew, with its long neck and distinguished, downward-curving beak. It is an aristocratic creature. Its long legs take slow, thoughtful steps as it looks around cautiously. The medium-sized bird is alert and active like the robin. This elegant bird is often found in compagnie with other wading birds. Finally, we have the sandpiper, a small, sociable bird

, often found in large flocks.
